SERVICES
Complete Duct System Cleaning
Just as the name indicates, this is a thorough and complete cleaning of your air duct system. Proper cleaning greatly improves indoor air quality, and can be a welcome benefit for those who suffer from allergies and respiratory problems. Cleaning your system may also increase efficiency and reduce your utility bills . Every home or commercial building needs periodic complete duct cleaning. When cleaning we use the best system available, negative pressure vacuum with compressed air and air powered tools. This Method of cleaning places the vacuum outside of your house which has two benefits: first, all of the contaminates are collected outside rather than relying on filters to clean the dirty air and pump it back into your house. Second, this allows us to use a vacuum much more powerful than some of our competitors use. A powerful vacuum means more suction and is much more effective at removing the dirt from you system. If a better system was available for cleaning HVAC systems we would own it. We strive for the absolute best and efficient way to clean systems.
Dryer Vent Cleaning
Intended to increase the life of your dryer and make it work like new again, dryer vent cleaning removes lint, dust and debris that builds up during normal use of this essential appliance. The more often you run your dryer, the more frequently you need this service performed to help maintain performance levels and safety. Annual dryer vent cleaning will reduce the risk of fire, cut drying time and energy use.
An estimated 2,900 clothes dryer fires in residential buildings are reported to U.S. fire departments each year and cause an estimated 5 deaths, 100 injuries, and $35 million in property loss

Commercial HVAC Cleaning
Size is the biggest challenge in cleaning ductwork in commercial spaces, but it’s a challenge we’re ready to meet. Large systems can only be properly cleaned with the right equipment, and we have it. Whether we use a four stage, eight foot HEPA-filtration vacuum or two 5000 cfm negative pressure vacuums (10,000 cfm in tandem), we have the right equipment to clean virtually any system. A remote controlled robot with cameras can be deployed in long duct runs to monitor what we are cleaning. The robot allows us to clean up to 75 feet of duct from one access point.
Cleaning the air handling unit can be a daunting task for some companies. We have cleaned units as large as mobile homes and we make sure every component is thoroughly cleaned (coils, humidifiers, blowers, motors, louvers, dampers, etc.). A variety of techniques can be used from pressure washing (with approved cleaning agents) to vacuum, compressed-air and brushes. Most of the time we incorporate all of these methods to provide the best level of cleanliness. We can also restore the barrier coat on worn duct liner, or replace deteriorated AHU insulation.
Inspecting and evaluating systems prior to preforming service insures that only necessary work will be done. All aspects of the job are carefully considered, including scheduling work hours that meet your needs. Once the job is under way, our supervisors make certain that the work is completed efficiently and thoroughly with constant quality assurance inspections. We will complete all work to your specifications.

Kitchen grease exhaust and hood cleaning
Kitchen grease exhaust system cleaning (commonly referred to as hood cleaning) is the process of removing grease that has accumulated within the system including the hood, filters, duct and fan. If all components of the grease exhaust and hood system are not properly cleaned to NFPA Standard #96, the system could become an extreme fire hazard.
Presque Isle Powerclean's team has worked hard to meet the highest standard in grease exhaust and hood cleaning. Not only do we clean what you can easily see, we clean every part of the system to bare metal as required by NFPA Std. #96. The exhaust fan, duct, filters, hood, grease traps, and plenum behind the filters will be cleaned to bare metal. Our technicians are the most knowledgeable, experienced professionals in the area, and will go the extra mile to ensure every inch of your system has been cleaned.
NFPA 96 states: "Hoods, grease removal devices, fans, ducts, and other appurtenances shall be cleaned to bare metal prior to surfaces becoming heavily contaminated with grease or oily sludge". 11.4.2
Beware of companies that certify their work to NFPA Std.#96 but limit their liability to "All Accessible Surfaces" (or similar wording); this often means that only what is readily seen, accessible or not, has been cleaned.
